Es war ein beschäftigts Wochenende bei uns, unser Michael wird getauft! Es war ein sehr schön Zeremonie in unser Kirche in Yorkton. Julie hat lang an seinen Kleider gearbeitet, und es hat gut ausgesehen! Grösi hat von Edmonton fürs Wochenende gekommen, und wir glauben das alle ein Gute Tag gehabt haben!

It was a busy weekend around here, our Michael was Christened! It was a very nice Ceremony in the United Church in Yorkton. Julie had worked long on his outfit, and it turned out good! Grandma was here for the occasion and we all had a great day!

Our herds have developed wonderfully this summer, and we are very proud of what we have! We have many photos, and we hope to bring more for you all to see! Unsere Herde hat sich sehr entwicklet dieses Sommer, und wir sind sehr stolz darauf! Wir haben viel Fotos, und hoffentlich kommen noch mehr für Euch zu sehen!

It rained again!! Es hat schon wieder geregnet!!

Once again we are floating. Last night we had a series of bad rainstorms that had managed to dump a full 5 inches of rain upon us. That meant that the water levels went back up to flood levels. The backyard river backed up again, so we got to watch as it, once again, crept up to the house. Luckily, nothing came in, but it will set us back in the haying department…. at least we have nothing cut right now! Ah well, Mother Nature at her best….

Nochmals sind wir am schwimmen. Gestern nacht hatten wir mehrere starke Stürme gehabt, und die hat vollig 127mm regen an uns geschuttelt. Das hat bedeutet das wir wieder überflutet sind. Die Hinterhof Fluss ist wieder zu Damm geworden, und wir hat konnen zuschauen wie die Wasser wieder auf unser Haus gekommen ist. Zum Glück ist nichts passiert, aber wir werden jetzt ein weile nicht mehr Heuen konnen… es ist nur Glück das wir nichts am Boden haben!! Nanu, Mutter Nature am Ihren Besten…

Roger’s first trip to Canada started off with a quick stop at our house. During his 3 day stay, he got to see lots of what it’s like on our farm and what we’re up to, more or less. (Poor guy nearly got run over by a crazed cow, but he said it was ok.) It was a great visit, and we hope that we’ll get to see him again soon! Roger will be continuing his trip from Calgary, ending in Vancouver, and we hope that he has a great time!

Roger’s erste Reise durch Kanada hat am unsere Haus angefangen. Wahrend seinen 3 Tägige aufenthalt hat er viel über unsere Hof gesehen, und hat was wir mehr oder weniger machen geschaut. (Arme Mann hat sich fast von eine gekrankt Kuh ruber laufen lassen, aber er hat gesagt das alles io ist.) Es war ein schöne besuch, und wir hoffen das wir ihm bald wieder sehen kann! Roger macht seinen Reise von Calgary weiter, bis Vancouver, und wir hoffen das er ein fantastisches Zeit hat!

The Hummingbird, Der Hummelvogel

We have a new visitor that has been coming to sip from our flowers. This little Hummingbird zips here and there and is fascinating to watch! We hope that she stays for a while, because Hummingbirds are rare up here.

Wir haben eine neue Besucherin das kommt fast jeden Tag zu unsere Blumen. Diese kleine Hummelvogelin flitzt hin und zuruck und ist richtig fazinierend zum zu schauen! Wir hoffen das sie bliebt noch eine Weile, weil der Hummelvogel sind sehr rar bei uns.

The garden is even threatened! Sogar die Garte ist im gefähr!

Our yard is starting to fill with water for the second time this year... Alles füllt sich für die zweite mal dieses Jahr mit wasser...

More wet conditions in our yard. Mehr nasse Conditionen in unser Hof.

We had removed .5 inches (1.25cm) the night before; we had thought the storm done. Wir haben 1.25cm gestern Abend geleert, aber die Sturm war nicht fertig mit uns. Total= 5in (12.7cm) Rain/Regen

Our backyard river runs again. Unser Hinterhof Fluss läuft wieder.
